This foto must show a town somewhere in Eastern Europe (Poland, Ukraina, ...). Who can me tell, where it is. My grandfather was there during the ww2

Do you know it a little more exactly? My Grandfather was killed on September 15 1943 about 4 km northwest of Mal Rublevka (about 50 kilometers north of Poltava). Do you think it should be SS Wiking Div.?

Could it be Lemberg/L'viv/L'vov?

Who knows something about the Panzergrenadierregiment 63? I know that it was part of the 17. Division, but in www I haven't found very much about it. I'm interessted especially in the time Aug./Sept 1944.
Do somebody know people (or their relatives) who belonged to this regiment?

It must be in Ukraina, but I don't know where. My Grandfather - who made it - was in the Panzergrenadierregiment 63.

I know that my grandfather Eduard Kirsch was hit by a shell-splinter at the shoulder and bleed to death at September 15th in 1943 near Malaja Rublevka and was burried in Poltava.
But I do NOT KNOW in which SS-unit he was. Do somebody knows which SS-unit was in this region at this time?
