Hey CS! :up: As you, I also think that the ship/boat on the photo is an armed fishing boat. And as you, I also can see, that it ain't big enough to transport troops. :wink: But yeah, it is posible that this boat/ship was a part of the ships involved in that operation, in Nyborg/Korsör! I did a little research regarding 2. Kompanie Pionier-Bataillon 235. They fought side by side with the SS-Division "Wiking",from 1940, they where under 198. Infanterie-Division, and they where at Dnjepropetrowsk from september to october 1940,and again at Mius/Rostow from november 1940 to ...

Hey Richard! The FPN 23524 indeed belonged to the 2. Kompanie Pionier-Bataillon 235. It should be 1943 I guess, there is a Georg Munding (Born 05-07-1913 at Ehingen) MIA from 22.01.1943 at Stalingrad. He is remembered on cube 60, disk 15 at the Rossoschka (Wolgograd) cemetery.
