Re: march 1945, what SS unit ?

Can somebody tell me where to find some good shots of this Wochenschau of 5/3/1945?
I believe the last fragments are shot by a Flemish Filmberichter, I believe the men with the Panzerschreck are soldiers of the SS-Division 'Langemarck'.

Thanks for your replay. I can’t comment because the author doesn’t give a source.

Re: SS-Personalveränderungsblatt from June 1944

Mike - Yes, I have those other editions and they were published as a "Nachtrag" . However, I won't be posting and more of these promotion lists because they do not generate much discussion. John According to following biography, Raf van Hulse was promoted to SS-Untersturmführer der Waffen...

Re: SS-Personalveränderungsblatt from June 1944

Michael, what about Marcel Laperre? Was he part of the 3. LfGO? Or the 11. KJL? Or both? He also was assigned to KG Rehmann after graduating from Bad Tölz, and survived the summer 1944 fighting. The other two Flemish officers within the Kampfgruppe where Jan Uten and Marcel Laperre. Both men where ...

Re: SS-Personalveränderungsblatt from June 1944

The 11. Oberjunker-Lehrgang was the first Waffen-Lehrgang following a Junker-Lehrgang. So far as I know there weren’t any subsequented Waffen-Lehrgänge after the 8. and 9. Kriegs-Junker-Lehrgänge. Most of the Flemish SS-Oberjunker that attended an Oberjunker-Lehrgang had front experience. Two Flemis...

Re: SS-Personalveränderungsblatt from June 1944

I came to the conclusion that all thirteen Flemish SS-Oberjunker of the 11. Kriegs-Junker-Lehrgang, who where not send to the 11. Oberjunker-Lehrgang where send directly to the SS-Sturmbrigade ‘Langemarck’ (III. SS-Pz.-Korps). One of them was send to the Flak-Bttr. in the München (SS-Flak-Ausb.u.Ers...

Re: SS-Kriegsberichter Standarte Organization

I actually already have a copy of this list, and the SS-Kriegsberichter-Kompanien that where attached to the I., II. and III. SS-Panzer-Korps aren’t listed. I was wondering if there is any information about these three Kompanien? And sometimes the KB-units that where attached to the Leibstandarte, D...

Re: Hans-Caspar Krüger - W-SS Ustuf. from Sweden

Has somebody maybe more information about this Sturmmann Angenent? It’s a wild guess, but could this be Gerard Angenent? Gerard Angenent was a member of the DeVlag and the editor-in-chief of ‘De Arbeidskameraad’, a weekly magazine for the Flemish workers of Organisation Todt. He later became the fir...

Re: Björn Björnsson - W-SS Ustuf. from Iceland

I believe that Björnsson was promoted to Ustuf. on June 21, 1944, and that the April 20, 1944 date in his file is his date of seniority ("mit wirkung von..."). I'm not certain of this, it is of course possible he was actually promoted to Ustuf. on April 20. However, I have photos of Björn...

Re: Hans-Caspar Krüger - W-SS Ustuf. from Sweden

It wouldn’t surprise me if there where many, many more of these cases in the Waffen-SS. What did you expect, all these men closely together near the frontline. Bauweraerts was a Flemish volunteer. I don’t have much information about him; I know that he was a youth-leader within the Vlaamsche Jeugd, ...

Re: SS-Personalveränderungsblatt from January 1945

On this Personalveränderungsblatt Friedrich Reidl; 10.6.1908; SS-Standarte Kurt Eggers; is promoted to W-Ostuf. m.W.v. 30.1.1945 But on the Stellenbesetzungsliste of the SS-Standarte KE a Friedrich Reidl is mentioned with B-date 23.8.1913. Is this a typing-error, or where there two Friedrich Reidl's...

Re: SS-Personalveränderungsblatt November 1944

Can somebody help me to indentify the identity or ‘volksangehörigkeit’ of the in this ‘Personalveränderungsblatt’ mentioned participants of the ‘4. Lehrgang für germanische Offiziere’? I thought first that all participants with German sounding names where ‘Volksdeutscher’, but some of them seem to b...

Re: Germanische Officer Courses at Bad Tölz

I have a question about a participant on the 2. Lehrgang für germanische Offiziere; Fernand Collard (geb. 5.7.1912) who was promoted to SS-Ostuf.d.R. m.W.v. 25.9.1943. I did some research and It seems that he was born in Liège (Wallonie) and that he was a French speaking Belgian, a Walloon. And he w...

Re: SS-Personalveränderungsblatt from June 1944

Some findings about the 11. Kriegs-Junker-Lehrgang. In comparison with the other officer courses of the Waffen-SS, the 11. Kriegs-Junker-Lehrgang had many Flemish participants. 42 of them finished the course successfully. These Flemish participants where: (Aktieve Führern) Abeele van den, Hendrik ge...
