Division 185

We just got information back from the Deutsche Dienststelle. We are looking for information about a relative. Truppenteil: laut Meldung vom 29.10.1944, 6. Kompanie, Division 185. Thing is I cant find anything about a Division 185, it is not listed on Feldgrau and Lexikon der Wehrmacht. We do know th...

Close Combat 3 is one of my favs. But it gets boring against the AI when the russians get all the tanks. So I hardly play that one nowadays.
I play a lot of CoD. Its not realistic but its fun.

Used to play a lot of Panzer General, but thats in the good old DOS days hehe :)

Re: Looking for Photos of ROA or any Russian volunteers

Can anyone point me in the direction of a good book or website for info on the ROA or various other ethnic groups from the Caucaus that fought along side the German army? Thank you! If Georgie is good enough this site should be usefull. Sadly its in Dutch, but maybe you can use the names etc in goo...

I suspect its infantry. Looking at the other pics some of the guys have an Infantry Assault Badge, and 1 photo shows a possible training for an MG. Well thats my opinion :) I think the number on the shoulder board is "63" instead of the 64 K-pp proposed. http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de...

Interesting reply Lorenz.

btw, for my own info was Schleyer head of the German bank at that time, and was his car ambushed by the RAF? If so I can picture the guy from a docu.

Wasn't the whole project under command of SS Sonderstabes Kammler? I've read a mention of the SS-Sonderstab Kammler-Mittelbau somewhere. That was directly under control of General Kammler. In charge of Sicherheit and Abwehr at camp Dora was SS Sturmbannführer Otto Förschner. Hope this helps in a way.

I would also like to see a German version of BoB. Panzers would be a nice subject for a movie but you need a very high budget for it. Also I think you can make the movie more 'dramatic' if you take regular infantry. I have been playing around with an idea for a movie for a while. Ive been to the sch...

I thought "Du" meant in this case "your" as it doesn't look like the word "Der" which would mean "the. I thought of this as well, but 'du' doesnt mean anything at all. It should have been "Ihren General" if you want "your general" Also compare ...

Nice picture. A general eating at a Feldkuche.

On feeling i'd say its early war, 39/40 or so.

(Just in case. The text is translated in Dutch to: "De Generaal in bivak" (Assuming you know the dutch language, dont know the english word) So Biwack isnt the name of the general.)
