Here is a bit more born 11.8.1904 Party Nr 5584806 SS Nr 139956 SS Sbf and SS Sbf der Reserve 21.6.1944 Awarded the War Service Cross with Swords 2nd Class.

If the Landespolizei were absorbed into the Heer in 1935 does this mean there was a massive hiring of new members of the Schutzpolizei to replace them or were some members of the Kasinierte Polizei transfered so that the loss of experienced officers was not as concentrated? There was another Police Regiment 1 which was reorganised in Hungary during August 1944 with the I Battalion from Hamburg the II Battaliopn from Prague and thje III Batailon was the re-organuised III Battalion of SS Police Regiment 21 in Hungary. Hi Phil Thanks for that , i knew about him dropping the Zelewski i think he thought it sounded Polish, but as for the insignia would he have been entitled to wear it even tho there dosen't appear to be any photographic evidence of this Michael Be was never a member of the Schutspolizei or the Genda...

Please not his name was Erich von dem Bach, he dropped the Zelewski part early in the war. I do not think he ever wore any Schutzpolizei badges as his Police rank was because of his status as a HSSPF, hisd bacxkground was with the Allgemeine SS
