Re: Hedgerows at Teploye?
They are not hedgerows in the traditional sense. More accurately, they would be called "narrow forest swathes". I am sure they are only wind breaks, but just need to know when they were planted. Thanx for the post.

Re: Are you a wargamer?
Big time wargamer from 1975. Have most games from AH and SPI. I prefer the Eastern Front in WWII. I love tactical miniatures games the most. To me, there is nothing like the deflecting shot off a finely painted GHQ miniature. Right now I am doing research on the north shoulder of the battle of Kursk...

See those hedgerows? It must be determined if they were there in 1943! This is a significant find! Help me confi...

Then go NE about 2.5 miles. This is Teploye. There are several photos of a memorial to the battle here, too. Even one pictu...

Hedgerows at Teploye?
A recent update of the battlefield of Teploye from Googleearth is fascinating. The area NE of Teploye has large fields bordered by hedgerow-like boundaries. See for yourself: 52"16'00N 36"00'57E. Were these borders there in 1943? Is this why the Ferdidnands were halted here? I am afraid on...
