Hi All, It has been a while since I have posted anything. :D In my opinion, Paul Carrell's books about WWll combat from the German perspective is a great series. Published by Schiffer. As I think about it, anything published by Schiffer is excellent. Their two volume series about SS Division command...

why German Stuff?
well to be perfectly honest, Aestetics. Most Allied equipment in a word was plain ugly and to utilitarian. A Sherman compared to a Panther or Tiger just does not cut the proverbial mustard and does not even have the same mystique. The US military uniforms of WWll was also ugly, good for the soldier,...

Mark, Basically what i am looking for are unit histories and unit commanders. Not only divisional, but down to Battalion and Company level. I t would be nice to see them, but i will not die if i don't. Also, i very much appreciate your works and works by Steve Zaloga and George Nafziger. Unlike some...

i disagree
sorry Dave,
i heartily disagree about the Panzerfaust 60 not being reloadable. boxes of warheads were sent into the field with the original tube to be reloaded by the Grenadiere in the field. And this only started with the 60. the Klein and 30 were not reloadable.

not justified
anyone in combat who is not in uniform is not protected under the Geneva Convention. When the Germans tortured someone from the French Underground, SOE, OSS or an eastern partisan group, they could legally. The US Army executed members of the 150 Pz Brig. for being in American uniforms. the Brits us...

Who Cares!
looky here! people who think communism was a decent way of life, or maybe never knew the effects of Stalinism. that is the only reason i would ever cheer the Wehrmacht! too many people i know were victims of his brutal dictatorship and the gulags. i do not hate Russians, I hate Communists and those ...

who cares, still a decent reference. an order of battle is a speculative thing. as long as the Russians got there's, and i do not mean a share who cares who won, the majority of modellers do GERMAN! and Waffen-SS is my specialty. oh well, that was fun. Chris  member in good standing of ...

Mr Green
welcome to my nightmare! i do use the basic colors for my Panzers, but i see what i can distort. In that context, on another website i have started a little club for non rivet counters called Der Sonntag Bund. this group is filled with fun, but still very excellent modellers. also the only kar98's i...

Waffen-SS
To Timo: THANKS! I do extensive research on SS units and sub-units, i like to re-arrainge their OOB's and make it stronger and cheat on the weaponry they had(StG-44 at an earlier date) The books I also collect are basically OOB's and I like to tweek them to my own purposes. Nafziger's OOB books have...
