Well this one has me completely beaten.

What is Allewerdern?

A little letter with which I'm struggling

in particular the sentence in bold.

A horrible sentence with which I'm struggling

The opening sentence and the closer I think I've got... but the bit in the middle is just 'orrible.

Re: Images of War

For the early campaigns, up to the end of 1941, there's a host of Nazi propaganda books, e.g. Der grosse deutsche Feldzug gegen Polen (which is A4 sized, 350 pages, loads of images). Cost about €20 Der Sieg im Osten (Poland again). Similar price. Der Sieg im Norden (Norway). Ditto. Der Grosse Befehl...

Many thanks for getting in touch Herr Kroemer. Very much still interested in your father's diary (I'm not sure as yet when I will get around to writing my long-planned Endkampf book). As long as I remember, I shall send an email come September! Thank you also for the tip on the Mummert book - one I ...

Re: Naval and Military Bookstores in Germany

Helmut Weitze in Hamburg is excellent and well worth a visit. Also Torsten Bernhardt in Johanniswall 3, near the Hbf, keeps a good second-hand collection of unit histories and military books. Otherwise, most of the military bookshops seem to be online with minimal shop presence. As for the mainstrea...

99 per cent certain it is given that the pagination looks right and the original was produced by the Kameradschaft. :[]
