Re: Feldgrau Author: Charles Trang

My latest book on the Hohenstaufen division is now available. There are about 800 photos, a large number of which come from Pierre Tiquet's collection and have never been published before. These are photos which belonged to former members of the division, so their quality is sometimes not of the hig...

Re: New book on SS-Pz.Rgt.12

There is a lot of readers for the books relative to the Second World War in France. Editions Heimdal are publishing a book on this subject every 15 days. One of their last production is a book on SS-Pz.Rgt.12, different from Stephan Cazenave's. Of notice is also a remarkable book on Légion Wallonie ...

Re: New book on SS-Pz.Rgt.12

It is written in French. Clearly, most of the "new" WSS units histories are now written in French ! Those written in English are just translations of original German books.

Re: New book on SS-Pz.Rgt.12

Ooops, I forgot to say that the author is Stephan Cazenave (SS-Pz.Aufkl.Abt.10, Tiger).

Re: Feldgrau Author: Charles Trang

As you may know, the second volume of "Wiking" is out since January 2015. The third volume will deal with the May 1943 - May 1945 period and should be out in early 2016.

Re: New "Wiking" Book 1942-43 by Charles Trang

I do not want to look too proud and arrogant but I think this series is the most detailed history of the division which has ever been written. This peculiar volume has about 170 pages of text in A4 size and police Nr.10 for just one year of campaign (May 1942 to April 1943). I have used every single...

Re: Feldgrau Author: Mark C Yerger

By the way, Mark wrote that Harald Gerres occupied some unknown functions before taking command of 6.Kp./Westland during the summer of 1944. Gerres was SS-Pz.Gren.Rgt.10 "Westland" 's Adjutant in July 1944 as it is noted in the KTB of I./SS-Pz.Rgt.5.

Re: Feldgrau Author: Charles Trang

I am sorry Thomas, I did not see your question !
There are only a few copies left but you can still make the order directly to Editions Heimdal, the editor. Their shipping costs are not expensive at all.

Re: Feldgrau Author: Charles Trang

In fact, the English version of "Totenkopf" is not a translation of the French book. There are a few more photos but the text is different. Due to translation costs, the English version is only a digest of the French one so it is less detailed.
