Hi, well, just off the top of my head I can say that LVII Panzerkorp was on the receiving end of the Soviet "Little Saturn" offensive from 12/15/42 into the next year.

Re: German Infantry Divisions in Operation Bagration
Okay, thanks to a link on another forum, I found this:
1. 35th I.D.-- issued 10 StuG IVs in May 1944
2. 36th I.D.--issued 10 StuG IVs in April 1944
3. 45th I.D.--issued 10 StuG IVs in May 1944
4. 134 I.D.--issued 10 StuG IVs in April 1944
I think this helps a little.

German OOB for Operation Bagration
Greetings Comrades, Does anyone know of an Order of Battle for Army Group Center in June 1944, immediately before the Soviet "Operation Bagration" which destroyed it? By OOB, I mean something down to the Regimental and Battalion level. So far, I've only found Divisional lists. Bestens, ~D ...

German Infantry Divisions in Operation Bagration
Hi, I'm looking into German defensive measures before the Soviets launched "Operation Bagration" against Army Group Center. Can anyone give me any information on the composition of any of the Panzerjager Companies of the following Infantry Divisions in the 9th Army : 1. 6th Infantry Divisi...

Re: Polish villages destroyed in security operations.
Hi, there is a question about the von Gottberg group in the Bagration Battle near Minsk. My one source about this is Hinze's "East Front Drama" which is not known for its ease of reading. Clearly there was a "Von Gottberg" force, it is listed as containing a number of polizei reg...

Re: Let's Build the 27th Panzer Division
Thanks Jerry! Remember, the Commissar is convinced that, when it comes to retreived WWII documents, there are only two types: barely readable and unreadable. Happiy this observation is a product of the Commisar's post-radiated brain and what you posted is excellent. Anyway, "Gruppe Michalak&quo...

Let's Build the 27th Panzer Division
Hi Folks, I think this Board should try to tackle one of the most enduring mysteries of the Panzerwafffe: The short but exciting life of the 27th Panzer Division. Some reference books don't even list it as a Panzer Division. So, any and all contributions are welcomed, no matter how small or insignif...

Re: Puma Question, K.St.N.1109 (f.G.)
Thank you very, very much Hans! :D :D :D :D You've explained it so well that even I can understand it. :D I would have put this question on the 234 thread we worked on some time ago, but I didn't feel it would attract as much attention there. You did wonderfully on that thread and I think the only t...

Thanks Tanker Mike--it seems to confirm exactly what Richard wrote. This really helps and it is a point that I really can't afford to be wrong on, as I need to know for a writing project.

Re: Puma Question, K.St.N.1109 (f.G.)
HI Richard, that helps very much! The odd number of vehicles in the 3rd Platoon accounts for the number 16, which really puzzled me, as the Abteilung Commander and Kompanie Commander would seen to have to have their own vehicles.

Puma Question, K.St.N.1109 (f.G.)
HI, I understand from Jentz's "Museum Ordnance Special Number 24" That the April 1944 K.St.N. 1109 (f.G.) provided for a Stabs und Stabskompanie Panzer-Aufklarung Abteilung containing 16 234 series vehicles. Originally, what was envisioned was 13 Sd. Kfz. 234/1 and 3 Sd.Kfz. 234/3. But ins...
