Re: Books

Did you read "The Man in The High Castle" ?
Years after I gave you the book, Amazon created a TV series from this novel, with enough success to continue for few seasons.

Re:

Few people, I'm thinking of Americans in this case, take the time to understand what Germany was like after WWI. I would agree most Americans TODAY are fairly ignorant of what Germany was like in the "Inter-War" era, and to a degree even DURING the Inter-War era, but they wern't totally c...

Re: Embassies - Germans in Moscow, Soviets in Berlin

I do not know Russian, but I think that at moments 25:58…26:04 from this video they show few members of the Soviet Embassy in Berlin that went to accompany Molotov when he left in November 1940, from Berlin train station, after his official visit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endscreen&N...

Embassies - Germans in Moscow, Soviets in Berlin

How are you ?

What happened with the diplomatic personnel, people from German Embassy in Moscow and people from U.S.S.R Embassy in Berlin, after June 22, 1941? Were they allowed to return home?
Thanks,
Florin

Re: Stalin partied. Hitler didn't party...

.....Svetlana Stalin commented after fleeing to the U.S. after Papa Joe died that Beria tried to seduce her. Imagine, trying to get into Stalin's daughter's pant while he was still alive. It was a gamble. If everything would work OK, it could boost his career. But it was a wrong gamble. Stalin was ...

Re: The most decorations, ribbons, medal on a WW2 German uniform

How are you ? Could the "Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross" be awarded for the second time as an independent medal, to the same person ? I am not asking about those who got “upgrades”, like from “Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross” to “Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves”, or fro...

Re: USA, Sept 1945 Air Show of Captured German Aircraft

Hello again,

Does anybody has any suggestions regarding the "mystery sphere" shown at 4:40…4:43, 4:48…4:51 and from opposite direction (and closer) at 5:20…5:26 ?
I am just curious. I do not recall to see anything like that before.

Re: USA, Sept 1945 Air Show of Captured German Aircraft

Moment 4:31…4:33: Arado 234 Moment 4:39…4:40 : Me 163, near two German helicopters; behind the helicopter from the left, a jet engine exposed separately Moment 4:51…4:54 : V-1 (The V-2 is so big and obvious, it sticks into the eyes) I cannot figure out what is the white sphere between the V-2 (on it...

I deleted an identical comment yesterday. Or I thought I did. If I see this again, Florin will be out the door.

Racist comments are not acceptable here, period.

Re: Luftwaffe vs Swiss air force?!

......................By the way: thanks to You, at least 2 Polish-made planes (PZL P.23 Karaś) are said to have taken part in the Battle of Stalingrad. Or, maybe even more. You may correct me, but Romanian army did use quite a lot of our equipment taken from Polish units, that were disbanded on th...
