As I recall, the German fuel shortage didn't begin until the loss of the Rumanian oil fields, roughly in August-September 1944. By that time, Panther had been in production a full year, so, if 7,000 Panthers had been available, there would have been a chance that the Russians wouldn't have even rea...

No Tigers and Panthers in the Romanian Army during the war. After the war, the Soviets delivered several Panthers, which were in use until 1950. Also, no Vickers 6-ton served in the Romanian Army. For more details on Romanian armor, see:

...the top Romanian about 60... More exactly some 45 airplanes confirmed as shot down, of which 6 were USAAF (2 B-24s, 2 P-38s and 2 P-51s). Since 1944, the Romanian Aeronautics used a point-system. Thus a four-engine US bomber was 3, a twin-engine was 2 and a single engine 1. That is why his score...

it would also be interesting to look at how many Romanian troops fought with the allies on the eastern front at the end. Regards, David It is estimated that 553,121 Romanians effectively served in the anti-Axis campaign: 19,983 officers, 24,443 NCOs and 528,795 soldiers. Obviously not all of them a...
