Re: Inglorious Basterds (2009 film)
I have seen this movie already, it's the worst war movie I've ever seen... Then you haven't seen "which way to the front", of and with Jerry Lewis.... :D I thought the confrontation between Landa and the French farmer quite interesting although I have read such incredible pseudo-psycholog...

There even were doubts about the place where his plane crashed, some people thought he had crashed in the Alps, but a couple of years ago a fisherman on the South Coast on the Mediterranean brought his chain bracelet with his name engraved on it in his nets! At the same time historians targeted a nu...

the man who shot Antoine de Saint-Exupéry identified????
The French pilot and writer Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, known the world over as the author of "the little Prince", disappeared on July 31st 1944 while flying a recco Lightning. He was presumably shot by a Luftwaffe pilot who, finding out whom he had shot, preferred to remain silent. Today th...

This is a link to the thread discussing Trench Cleaners on a French WW I Forum. The text is French but the photographs and drawing speak for themselves. There was a doubt regarding the cartridge holders two of the soldiers wear: French cavalry or British Army???? http://pages14-18.mesdiscussions.net...

Unlike many war movies made in the most whimsical places (the Battle of the Bulge made in Spain, with the pleasant sight of Panzers crushing cactuses under their caterpillars) the Night of the Generals was partly made in Poland, in particular Warsaw. Typically of its period the casting is pretty int...
