From the Realm of a Dying Sun

From the realm of a dying sun written by Douglas E Nash chronicles the history of the IV SS Panzer Korps. It is a three volume set. I'm currently on the third volume which covers from February to May 1945 and have been impressed with the detail that Mr. Nash used to research this volume. Has anyone ...

Yes I noticed that and it looks very good. I was just asking about book translations in general. Not just Meyers.

Re: 12.SS-Pz.Div. 'Hitlerjugend'

Looks nice, but I really liked Hubert Meyers account of the 12th SS.

The Men of Barbarosa

The Men of Barbarsosa by Samuel Mitcham. Has anyone read it? Is it any good? Saw it in the Military Book Club and am considering buying it but would like some feedback before I do. If it is a waste of time I'd like to know that before spending the money. Thank you for your replies.

Franz Lettner

Aside from the fact that he was Austrian and during the war he and my grandmother lived in the Czech Republic not much else is know. I was wondering if any one had any ad...

Re: Armor books

Are you looking for first hand accounts, or general referance? Tigers in Mud from Otto Carius, or Will Feys Armoured Battles of the Waffen-SS are good. Patrick Agte wrote Michael Wittman and the Waffen SS Tiger Commanders of the Leibstandarte in WWII (two volumes). Wolfgang Schneider wrote Tigers in...

Re: If Nazi Germany had opted for global business approach...

Interesting idea, but how would Hitler ended unemployment and improved the German economy? He did so by building up the military. If he goes about economic means how does he convince the German people to buy into his programs? Interested on your thoughts.

It does look like an interesting book. I don't have too much information on the 6th SS.

Re: Accounts/Memoirs of the Eastern Front

I just want to wish you good luck on your school project. There are numerous sources on the internet, but actual veterans are always the best source. I have found that most veterans do not want to talk too much about combat, but maily there experiences. For example my Grandfather talked about meetin...

I'm not sure where you can obtain the video, but I did watch the movie many years ago. As I remembered it , it was a very good movie.
