Re: The Sd. Kfz. 234 Thread!!!

Hello,
I'm wanting any numbering information on the Pilsen Pumas - the numbering on the Pumas surrendering to the Americans. It's been difficult to find clear photos of complete numbers and only have a little info thus far. Thanks for any help in advance. Caleb

Re: SdKfz 234/2 Puma - Ardennes 1944 Camouflage

On pages 216 & 217 in the book “Duel in the Mist 2”, there are excellent details and mention that in fact no Pumas made it to La Gleize. Arguing that what was likely to have happened instead, including one Puma that took a wrong turn. Instead the vehicles at La Gleize were 2 x 234/1 and 1 x 234/...

Kurland Tiger I's Apr/May 1945

I'm looking to do a Apr/May 1945 Kurland diorama containing two Tiger I's. As far as I can tell it looks like a kompanie of Tiger I's (late ?) from the 510th Heavy Battalion were attached to the 14th Panzer Division. Can anyone help me out on colour schemes, decals and markings, as well as which typ...

Living on a remote farm (admitidly in a southern hemisphere winter) has meant diesel equipment is the norm. A google search with such words as "T-34 engine temperature" or similar should do the trick to verify anything. Warming an engine up that one is able to start and hearing it sounds b...

German's used petrol (generally). I read somewhere that the petrol generally used was low grade too. Makes one wonder how the machines would have performed with high grade fuel. Out of interest, the Russian T-34 used Diesel. Diesel engines operate far easiser at low temperatures. Legend has it that ...

SdKfz 234/2 Puma - Ardennes 1944 Camouflage

I'm about to add an armoured car (234/2 Puma) to a KampfGruppe Peiper diorama. Peiper left some of these behind in the La Gleize area in Dec 1944.
Is anybody able to suggest which camouflage scheme was used on these in this setting ? Also can anyone suggest which numbers/decals would fit in ?
