Re: Forum Hero Tales book now for sale!!

And if you're wondering who and what the h.ll they're looking at :D I can say a typical MAS of Italians viewing (staring!) at beautiful barely dressed and well proportioned Russian girls on the beach without uniforms! It was fun doing a few well placed illustrations... 8) Thanks Tom  "Yac...

Re: Forum Hero Tales book now for sale!!

Great news Tom! Hope the illustrations turned out well on print. Would love to have a copy, but as it is right now I have to turn every penny... and unfortunately they only have two sides  Living on unemployment benefits and the wife's income - a bummer! As your supplies are limited I can't ve...

Re: Feldgrau's Future

Has advertisements been considered - not just sponsors but actual adds? I know it is used on the AHF site. Not sure how much it brings in or how it works but my experience is that its not really that much a bother as I first dreaded. Yes, there's an add here and there in and around the postings but ...

Re: Can anyone recommend....

Hi! "Stalingrad" is OK. The original 1959 b/w "Die Brücke"! The 2008 color remake is OK but the old one is better! "Der untergang" also worth seeing! Not specifically war films but good are "Napola" and "Sophie Scholl", worth seeing too is "Die ...

Re: German national markings, Patee cross, latin cross

I've tried to find an answer but can't find a precise "Why" besides a IdFlieg directive dated March 20 1918. It does have something to do with standardizing the markings for better recognition. Can't find much on IdFlieg, but that seems to be what to look for. Have a look at the posts here...

Re: German national markings, Patee cross, latin cross

Can't give you a precise answer, but as a graphic artist myself I can give you a "practical" answer... If I was asked to paint a marking on something that maybe would be gone the same day I would probably be a bit sloppy and do it in a hurry. From a distance a square and cross is a square ...

Re: Former Deutch, Flamish, Danish officers in the rank of W-SS

There were serious problems with and in the Freikorps Dänemark.
A near mutiny while at Treskau. A dislike of the commander Kryssing and his staff.
He was called to Berlin and later replaced by von Schalburg.

Re: How many germans die in Denmark 9 april 1940?

If "Hans Christian Hansen" mentioned is 305/Hans Christian Hansen - Private, 2nd Regiment/kanonkompagni shot at Haderslev, he was not shot by the Germans. In 2007 it was discovered he most likely was shot (from behind) by a sniper, maybe a Danish sympathizer or someone from the German mino...

Re: Iraqi Army of 1941

It is safe to assumed that each Iraqi Infantry Division have 15,000 men each and about 5,000 rifles and 162 sub machine guns. Sorry, I'm not quite sure... Same source says: "Each Iraqi Infantry Brigade had 3 Infantry Battalions, each of with at full strenght had: 26 officers / 820 other ranks ...

Re: Blacks right to be fascist?

Would it make any difference if they were not black or fascists...? Here's something from 1892 which might surprise you Henrik. It was used right up till 22 December 1942... ... at the words, “to my Flag,” the right hand is extended gracefully, palm upward, toward the Flag, and remains in th...
