Hello! Thanks for the help guys! But lwd, what I am not trying to do is make a list of all the tanks and their main guns, what I am trying to do is to figure out whether or not I have the correct "L/Designation". For example, I have seen the Sherman main gun M3 written as 75mm L/37.5 and 7...

Hello! I too would rather see it in print because I prefer to read my information in a book. However, if the only way to ever read the account would be a CD-Rom then I say go for it HaEn! If the Book Publishers refuse to publish your account then too bad for them. I remember you saying before that y...

German And Allied Tank Guns

Hello! I am working on a list with the gun calibres of various tanks along with the barrel length, the “L/” designation. One can easily find these lengths with the German tank guns but it is rather difficult with the various Allied tanks. Most sources of mine are very inconsistent and I found myself...

Hello Richard! Good call! I saved the file and then opened it up in Adobe Viewer 6 and it opened no problem! You were right on the money when you said it would work that way instead of opening it in the browser! It looks like great information in that document and it indeed does answer my questions!...

Hello Richard! Excellent, thank you for your response! Unfortunately, nothing shows up on that link. I went to the Sturmpanzer site and for most of the pdf files nothing shows up. I am not too sure if it is something not working at the site or something with my computer. I will keep trying though! C...

Very terrible and unfortunate news to receive. Ron was a very valuable contributor and always shared information without asking for anything in return. A very sincere and genuinely helpful fellow. I will miss his very detailed responses. My condolences to his family. Rest In Peace, my friend, Wolfki...

XLVII Panzerkorps and LXXIV Korps

Hello! I understand that at sometime after July 25, 1944 the XLVII Panzerkorps was pulled out of the line to take command of 2nd Panzer Division and 116th Panzer Division. Then the LXXIV Korps replaced it in the line. What I am unsure of are the exact dates and exact composition. I know that the 326...

Sherman Firefly 17 Pounder HE Rounds

Hello! I have inconsistencies in my sources regarding the HE Rounds for the 17 pounder on the Sherman Firefly. Some sources say that it did not have an HE round but only AP Rounds, while other sources say that it did, in fact, have an HE round but that it was rather ineffective, much like the HE rou...
