Re: German Medical Trains
I think I remember reading of at least one such in Western Europe. Don't remember any details though.

Re: wehrmacht use of dogs
No, of course. There's no dog. Here is just one photo with concretelike. Is that an attempt at humor? If so it falls pretty flat. The other photo with just the occasional stray dogs. How do you come to that conclusion? The Bolsheviks actively and savagely dogs were used to rush the German tanks. Rat...

Re: Tuvas and Lezgian in Waffen-ss?
Sorry,it's trolling. There may well be some trolling but I don't think it was the OP. There is no such nation as "Tuvas" . So who claimed there was? ... they had no need to serve in some mythical "Azeri SS", Are you saying there were no SS units with a large percentage o...

Re: New David Glantz book in 2018!
I must say that's a bit Harsh IMO. Using phrases like "regurgitating again and again battles " followed by almost a dozen battles is a bit shaky and implies that he has addressed the battles in some detail multiple times. Then there's the "so-called huge battles" line. The implic...

Re: Axis History Forum
Didn't this board transition to the "quick link" menu option a bit after AH? or was it a bit before? Certainly no one used to the function as it works today here should have any issues with it over there.

Re: Axis History Forum
There used to be buttons at the top you just clicked on rather than having to go to the "quick links" menu. As he said it took a bit of getting used to. Not sure if it is better now or not (this board uses the same "quick links" type menu some of the other boards I'm on don't. I ...

Re: German World War II Memoires and Diaries
I haven't reread the entire thread but you might want to look for any postings by Rudi Salvermoser. It may take a search to find his forum nick to find them all. He also posted over on axis history. The following thread may also contain some useful info: https://www.feldgrau.net/forum/viewtopic.php?...

Re: War Crimes of the DAK
Well according to this author there are at least some: https://www.reddit.com/r/AskHistorians/comments/4xopgv/did_members_of_the_africa_corps_commit_any/ Doesn't come up to the level of what happened in Easter Europe by any means from what I can see though. There is also documentation of allied war ...

Re: Single Player Board Games
There are a few although it's been a while since I've played any of them. There are also web tools that let you play some board games over the net. Baltimore was the original home of Avalon Hill Company one of the most famous of the early board game producers. I'd think that there would still be gro...

Have you tried the axis history forum or the WW2 forum. I think both of them have at least one active poster from Italy and they might be able to help.

Re: camp 368
It's not listed here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_World_War_II_prisoner-of-war_camps_in_Italy But it might show up in some of the references at the bottom or links off of them. I noticed that most of the highest number "camps" were hospitals. Perhaps a hospital got a camp number ...

If he was 58 when he died he could well have had children and even grandchildren.
