The 8th Waffen-SS Cavalry Division

I have read this book and thoroughly studied the content. Here is the review that I recently posted on Amazon. "The text of this book is well-written and the English translations of the many German documents cited in the book is excellent. It is an easy book to read. This 160-page book provides...

Re: Waffen-SS signed RKT photos and documents for sale

Some off-topic comments have been deleted. It would be nice if Peter could provide some more information concerning authenticity

Re: Waffen-SS signed RKT photos and documents for sale

Peter - I don't believe that it is good form to be selling "signed" photos of W-SS officers and letters. Besides, how do you know these signatures are authentic? Some years back a fellow from Sweden was requesting from me that I cut out signatures from letters that I had received from vets...

Re: New Book on the German Armed Forces

Thanks for the heads up Antonio. I'll read this book for sure since I will be in Greece next May. Hopefully, this book contains information about the deserved retribution by the Greek partisans against the German invader.

Norwegian Volunteers of the Waffen-SS

My copy of this excellent book by Geir Brenden and Tommy Natedal arrived a few days ago and I just finished reading it. This book is BIG, 523 pages in large format. I was expecting a book of photos only with minimal captions. The content of this book is very well organized. There is an extensive amo...

Re: Feldgrau Author: Charles Trang

I understand from the author that Wiking 1 and Wiking 3 are now out of print. Heimdal is expected to reprint those volumes.

Re: Feldgrau Future - Moving Forward

Jim - Where did you live in Italy - Vicenza? My wife and I will be back in Italy next June, spending 3 weeks near Sorrento and in the Puglia area. I'll bet that you miss the good food.

Re: Recommended Publishers & Author Experiences

I agree with Annelie when it comes to dust jacket covers. But I go one step further. For more than 25 years I have encased the paper dust jacket cover in a plastic mylar cover such as one often finds in libraries.

Recommended Publishers & Author Experiences

I believe that this topic will be useful to aspiring new authors. The recent bad experiences that a good friend had with a publisher in the UK point out the need for experienced authors to share their knowledge and provide some pointers to members of the forum who are planning to publish a book. Ear...

Jim - Glad to hear that you have taken ownership of Feldgrau. I wish you every success. I recommend that you contact all current moderators, some of whom are no longer living, and determine their continued interest. If the interest is no longer there, they ought to be removed and replaced. It not en...

Re: Strafvollzugslager der SS- und Polizei

I have just finished reading all 573 pages of Stuart Emmett’s remarkable new book, “Strafvollzugslager der SS und Polizei”. This book is about a very dark side of the Waffen-SS. It covers in great detail the judiciary system of the SS with its many prisons and jails throughout Europe where soldiers ...

"Wiking" Volume 3 by Charles Trang

I have been studying Volume 3 for over a week. This 567-page book published by Heimdal covers the period May 1943 - May 1945. I believe that this is the best book that Charles Trang has ever produced. Trang brings together a tremendous amount of useful information from multiple sources and presents ...
