Re: Panzer Regiment 203
I found my notes on this unit: This unit was formed in France on 07/01/41 with French beute-panzer. With the deterioration of the situation in Russia, the unit was quickly re-equipped with German tanks and rushed to AGN, arriving southwest of Leningrad on 12/17/41. At the end of 1941, the regiment f...

Re: Panzer Regiment 203
The unit was in the AGN sector by mid-December, 1941, and was disbanded 01/13/43.

Unit Symbols
I'm trying to decypher a couple of symbols. On the first one, I'd like to know what the abbreviation stands for, and what type of unit it is (15. Panzer-Division 04/15/41). On the second one, I'm totally unfamiliar with this symbol. It's a unit arriving with the 5. leichte Division in Africa. Thanks...

Re: Best Heer Panzer division in Wehrmacht ?
For the Heer, I'd have to say Panzer-Lehr.

Re: ground units KstN?
Apparently, alot of the Luftwaffe records pertaining to unit organizations were destroyed during the war.

Re: NARA - 5. leichte Division
Nope. I'm looking for the unit that was created from 3. Panzer-Division, served in North Africa, and was eventually converted into the 21. Panzer-Division. Your reference is for what eventually became the 5. Jäger-Division.
Thanks,
Brad

NARA - 5. leichte Division
I'm hoping someone can enlighten me. Can someone point me to the NARA roll with info on the 5. leichte Division? I've gone through the T77, T78, T84, and T315 Guides, and can't seem to find an entry - or, do the rolls for 21. Panzer-Divison (T315, R767-769) also cover the 5. leichte Division? Am I m...

Re: 104th Regiment
A book I'm reading at work at the moment (Tobruk, the longest seige) claims that one of the Battalions of Schützen-Regiment 104 arrived by plane at Benghasi in Spring 1941. I had always assumed that both Battalions had arrived at Tripoli & via the Med. Any thoughts gents........... Here's what ...

Sdkfz 251/21 "Drilling"
In a Kriegsgliederung for the final organization of the late-war Panzer Brigade from NARA, a notation appears "Drillinge auf Lkw." At first glance, this appears to be a "Drilling" kit mounted on a truck, or is this a reference to the Sdkfz 251/21?
