Bonjour
I am trying to understand what was and what did a Baustab Becker, Feldpost probably 26960 R in July 1944 somewhere around Paris or in link with the Normandy front.
One soldier from this unit was accompanying armoured plates for Panzer probably from Saint Chamond, Loire, France to Paris when his train was ambushed by FFI, and sent to derail in a tunnel. The soldier was then killed two or three days after.
I have found trace of an Alfred Becker firma in 1943, making sturmpanzer with 105 mm howitzes on recuperated Beute chassis for a german ID in Russia, which is said to have been know afterwards as "the famous Baustab Becker.
It seems a link existed between Baustab Becker and the Abt. F of the Rüstùng Ministerium.
Thank you for any help
Baustab Becker
German unit histories, lineages, OoBs, ToEs, commanders, fieldpost numbers, organization, etc.
