Don't think I ever have seen a picture of a Wehrmacht motorcycle driver with a pistol as a sidearm.
Seems it would be important to have a sidearm considering the time it would take to remove a slung K98k if under attack while riding.

The time it would have taken to unsling his rifle is nothing compared to the lack of range and accuracy he would have if armed with a pistol.

Normally,

the Kradführer i.e. the Führer der Krafradmeldestaffel (the sergeant who commanded the motorcycle messenger detachment), was authorized an SMG (Maschinenpistole);

the Kradfahrer (motorcyclist) was authorized a rifle;

the Kradfahrer als Melder (motorcycle messenger) was authorized a rifle.
