Es unter gibt da dich Ihnen jemand, der könnte das Dokument identifizieren (Bundesarchiv oder das private Dokument) um zu versuchen, die Einheit der Soldaten auf dem Foto zu bestimmen?

I'm unsure from the photo but are these men Heer or RAD? Can you get a clearly photo of their collar tabs?

Re: Identification of unit? Meuse/Belgium May 1940
Hello Simon
That's the best Ican do...
There's a lot of possibilities: 2 divisions are involved in fighting in this area: 8 and 28 ID with their IR: 28, 38, 84 and 7,49,83
AR 8,44 and 28,64
So, it appears that 267ID is present as well with IR 467, 487, 497 ....
3 days later, 211 ID spent a few days here before Fort St Héribert attack....
What do you think about that,
Many thanx for your reply

Re: Identification of unit? Meuse/Belgium May 1940
Hi Noeneors,
Well they aren't RAD are they! You've got a few options there. One photo on it's own is almost impossible to identify I think. It is a pity that this isn't one of a sequence, then perhaps there might be more clues. It's an interesting study of soldiers "after the battle".
Kind Regards,
Simon.
