Code markings

Hi,

I have a photo of a Heinkel 111 with the markings NA+IR and I was wondering what additional information could be got from the markings. From reading a bit on the internet it seems these may just be factory markings but maybe somebody could confirm that for me.

Just a guess into the blue...

The Heinkel 111 was one of the first experimental carriers for infrared homing heads like "hamburg" or "karussell",
so the IR could mean Infrarot.
