Kgl. Jugoslaw. St. Sawa-Orden III. Klasse

Post by Stephan H. »

Can someone help me out and explain what this award is. It was awarded to General Busse in 1939.

"Kgl. Jugoslaw. St. Sawa-Orden III. Klasse"

I'm not sure if Kgl. is "Kriegsgefangenenslager" or not.

Thanks,
Stephan

Hello Stephan!

The german abbreviation "Kgl" stands for "Königliche" as in "Royal"... Yugoslavia started as a Monarchy and their third and last King was Peter II (King between 1934 and 1941).

Krollspell-thank you for the clarification. Do you know under what what circumstances this ward might have been given?

Cheers,
Stephan
