Hi, German panzer troop was the cream of the Third Reich. They were responsible for resisting Allies in Normandy and spearhead in Ardennes offensive. if compare German panzer troop in Normandy and Ardennes , Which one was stronger in term of manpower, armored vehicle both in quantity and quality, training and other factors ?
In Normandy, German engaged totally 10 Panzer division (2nd, 9th, 21st, 116th, Lehr, 1st SS, 2nd SS, 9th SS, 10th SS, and 12th SS) and one Panzer grenadier Divison (17th SS) and some minor unit including 2 Tiger battalions, 4 StuG Brigades and training unit with French tanks
In Ardennes offensive, German deployed 8 Panzer Division (2nd, 9th, 116th , Lehr, 1st SS, 2nd SS, 9th SS and 12th SS), two panzer grenadier division (3rd and 15th) , two reinforced panzer brigades ( Fuhrer Begleit and Fuhrer Grenadier ) and one Panzer Brigade (150th) with some minor unit like StuG Brigades and Sturmpanzer units.
