They are all from a Totenkopf unit. But the question is:

Is it a cypher or a letter under the death head?

If its a cypher it indicates the particular Totenkopf-Standarte, if its a letter..i only know of the letter "K" which had been used on Totenkopf collar tabs and the "K" would indicate them as concentration camp guards. (K=Konzentrationslager)

Maybe this helps you a bit.

Other numbers and letters were used. It could also be the 'D' denoting the Dachau Standarte. Hard to say with this reproduction quality. Nice photograph nonetheless.

They're not Waffen-SS, by the way. These are Totenkopfverbände men. Elements from the TK-Verbände would form the cadre of the Totenkopf Division, which was part of the Waffen-SS.
