Another one: Ritter von Epp, Freikorps-leader, joined the NSDAP in 1928 (though he worked for the party since 1923 (?) ), MdR, SA-Gruppenführer, NSKK-Oberegruppenführer, General a.D. since 1935.

But... when did he die? Did he die at 31-12-1946 (according to Ernst Klee, Das Personen Lexicon zum Dritten Reich, a not so great book, since the author made a few mistakes) or 7-2-1946, according to http://web.genealogie.free.fr/Les_milit ... s/S.A..htm

Does anyone know if German General Franz Xaver (sometimes spelled Xavier) Ritter VonEpp was married, and did he have any children? I seem to remember reading somewhere that he married a Hollywood movie star, I think in 1942, but can no longer find the reference. I do not know if it was a first marriage or a subsequent one. It is my belief that he is a family member and I am researching that prospect.
