Let me know if you need dates for the kills or specific unit regards those with "Das Reich." All have bios with photos in my series with Bender Publishing, they're also German Cross in Gold holders. 1 vol with Bender now, have the next about 70% done.

Hi Mark, if you have any more information concerning their pz. vern. abz. you can pm or email me if you want to.

Hauptmann Peter Kiesgen instructing young Hitlerjugend recruits in handling of the panzerfäuste. Kiesgen served as a company commander in the first company, Infanterie Reg. 239 ( 106 Infanteriedivision) when he was awarded with the knights cross on the 5th October 1941. In late -43 Kiesgen became an instructor. The photo was taken in October 43, you can clearly see his five silver pz. vern. abz. The photo is courtesy of Michi.

My handwriting below the first picture of Hptm KIESGEN says:

Bannführer KIESGEN, Kdt HJ-Rgt "Frankfurt/Oder"

Bannführer (Hitler-Youth rank similar to Major) KIESGEN, CO of the Hitler-Youth Regiment "Frankfurt/Oder".

Sorry for my typo:

The official rank was:
HJ-Bannführer

Even in the 1.PzVernBrig "Hitlerjugend" the officer's ranks were of that from the HJ.
eg.: HJ-Stammführe, HJ-Gefolgschaftsführer,..........

I've updated the list. Most important change is the news that Wolfgang Rust didn't recieve the pz. vern. abz., many thanks to Martin Månsson for revealing this. Also thanks to Mirko B and everyone else that has made contributions.

Thanks for your excellent contributions Ronny and Eric! The person on your picture isn't Rust but Schlepper. Maj. Gustav Walle served in Pz.Jg.Abt. Grossdeutschland and knocked out nine tanks.
