I was wondering if the germans could choose the weapon they would serve in. If I read the accounts some were given a choice others weren't?
And if they were given a choice between infantrie, panzer, luftwaffe etc
weren't there more volonteers for the "star" units like panzers, luftwaffe. How did they fill in the infantrie?
Could someone tell me how long the officerstraining lasted as well.
