Tolsdorff's Diamonds.

I was wondering if anyone has any information how and why Oberst Theodor Tolsdorff won the Diamonds commanding the 340. Volksgrenadier Division during the Battle of the Ardennes. I have looked for information but unfortunately haven't found any. If anyone actually has the text to the recommendation that of course would be the best....

On 18-03-1945, Major General Tolsdorff received in Berlin the Diamonds for personal bravery and his division’s outstanding accomplishments
