Re: Is this SS Prinz Eugen or not
Hello Mark!
The unit designation on the Identification Disc, [10./J.R. 334 (9?)] would indicate the 10th company of the 334th Jäger Regiment (Heer), only problem is that there were no 334th Jäger Regiment?! Anyhow, nothing on the Identification disc indicates any connection to the 7. SS-Freiwilligen-Gebirgs-Division "Prinz Eugen"...
Just my two pennies,
Krollspell

Noooo Ignore the ID tag.
The on top left there are 2 L shaped gold plated objects.
The center of the piece instantly reminded me of SS div. Prinz Eugen Logo.

Ah, I see...
About the two metal "badges" who have an Odal rune-like ornament, apart from not being the traditional "Prinz Eugen" Odal rune, I've never seen badges like this on any soldier from the "Prinz Eugen". Although I have to admit that I'm not that specialized in this particular Waffen-SS Division...

Although there is a similarity to the Odalrune, I think that's accidental. I believe those are just pieces of art (of some type) that happen to look like the Odalrune.
