Yes, I think the Wiking set will include 3 volumes each of 400-500 pages in A4 size. I already have gathered more than 2,000 photos to fill them. Concerning Stephan, I cannot be so affirmative. I just wrote that he was a specialist of these divisions because he had a lot of contacts among the veterans of these units.

Thanks a lot Raingun ! Every cheer counts.
Concerning Stephan Cazenave, he has written a massive book ("Tiger") with Rüdiger Warnick. It concerns the Tiger company of SS-Pz.Rgt.2 and then the history of schw.SS-Pz.Abt.102/502 much in the mould of what W. Schneider had done but with more photographs and a more accurate text. But this could lead to another thread !

I have just finished reading the latest book by Charles Trang and Thomas Fischer in the Leibstandarte series, Dictionnaire. This 415-page large format book is very good and the photograhic reproductions are consistently excellent. Dictionnaire is mainly a book of previously unseen photos, period documents with good explanations and an A - Z listing of all known Leibstandarte officers with duty assignments. The photo captions are all in French, but should be easy to understand for someone with limited French language skills.

I am just reading it....

And, even with my rusty French from school time, it is not really hard to understand. The text ist well done! 8)

Hello,

I have just finished reading "Leibstandarte Dictionnaire" by Charles Trang & Thomas Fischer that closed the 6 volumes serie on LAH.
This is worth your money
I enjoy to have these books on my shelves.
About comments about French text and photos I totally agree with John Moore.

Dear Sir:

I am a big fan of your previous efforts and have been able to purchase many of your books through Amazon USA, but your Dictionnaire series on the W-SS (3 vols.) is proving to be difficult for them. Can you explain the reason why and perhaps a solution?
Can you recommend some other booksellers that might have them in stock. Thanks Tom!

I am sorry : I ignore the means by which you could order my books in the USA. I know Casemate and RZM Publishing are importers of Editions Heimdal but I do not know if "Dictionnaire de la Waffen-SS, volume 1" is available through them by now. Maybe you should contact RZM via their website. It is also possible to order the books directly to Heimdal but the postal charges are probably very expensive from France.

Thanks for the information. I have ordered a used copy of the TOTENKOPF ARCHIVES that is on its way and I still have hope that volumes 2 & 3 of your W-SS Dictionnaire are also on their way this summer. Once again Thanks very much, Tom.

I found of used copy of "W-SS Dictionnaire vol.1" from a bookstore in England and it arrived yesterday. I am just getting started, but so far it has proven to be worth the wait and effort to find a copy. Thanks Tom.

Waffen-SS Dictionnaire volume 2 is now available. I am pretty satisfied about the pictorial content as there are lots of never before published photos from the Hohenstaufen and Frundsberg divisions, all of them very spectacular with StuG's, panzers and men in camo. Of particular interest is a series of pictures showing Olboeter's RK award ceremony with Kurt Meyer, W. Mohnke and Sepp Dietrich in camo uniforms. They come from the divisional Adjutant's personal album.
