Postby eppanzer » Mon Apr 26, 2010 12:34 am

I look for any info about Ostpreußen (Wehrkreis I) panzer units in 1938-1939. AFAIK there were I/10 Panzerabteilung until August, 1939, when 4. Staff/Panzer Brigade and 7. Panzer regiment formed Panzer-Division "Kempf".

Thank You very much.

And what about Aufklarungs or Panzer-Aufklarungs units in the Ostpreußen Wehrkreis I? I know about Aufklarungsabteilung from Kavalerie Brigade 1. Did were some other Wermacht or SS motorized units with armored cars in the Wehrkreis I?

Hello to all :D; something more.......................

Poland 1939.

September 9, 1939.

At 01:00 hours the 3 AOK radioed that the I. / PR 10 was available to the I Army Corps at Ciechanow, the Abteilung’s Commander was already going for the I AK CP. At 02:00 hours the Commander arrived in Osiek and was given the task of sending the heavy company (Pz kw IV) to Zegrze and conquer intact the bridge at that location. The company will integrate a mixed detachment with the Radfahr Aufkl. Abt 217, which was in Nowe Miasto, the detachment should then retain the bridgehead established in Zergze. The bulk of the I. / PR 10 would go to Pultusk and according to the situation would be committed to Zegrze or Wyszkow. The war bridge built in Pultusk did not allow passage of armored Pz kw IV of the I. / PR 10.

At 05:00 hours the O1 (first assistant officer) of the I AK went to the 217 ID to explain the action to be carried out at Zegrze.

At 12:40 and 14:50 hours, two messages from the armored mixed detachment reporting that the bridge at Zegrze had been destroyed.
