Hello fellows; Leningrad!!!!..............................................

Now it was ordered to dig trenchs before Leningrad. Why we did not take it?. That question brought some of us in anger.

Wounded comrades being conveyed to the main aid station.

There began the long travel, almost 2000 kilometers, from the field hospital at Babino towards the hospitals within the country. The wounded and ill men were recovered within the recovery company (genesungs-kompanie). The Pol Rgt 3's Gen-Kp was located within the Ersatz-Bat 3's framework at Weerth/Netherland under command of the " Befehlshabers der Waffen-SS in den Niederlanden". The regiment's recovery element was at Hertogenbosch.

The regiment's history ends, but not the history of its men, who fought yet, often separated many hundreds kilometers from each other.

Their names and faces were seen here and there, in other combat teams, in other divisions; they marched, fought, fell and triumphed and nevertheless lost, like the German Reich.
