Hi John

I've seen on page 18 as member of 11 Kriegs Junkerlehrgang the estonian Ustuf Paul LUIK (born 08/07/1917). But in your Führerlist, he is Standartenoberjunker and killed in action on 26/03/1944. Is it a posthumous promotion ?

Hi Phil,

I do not believe that this was an official posthumous promotion because such promotions are usually announced in the Nachtrag section of the Personalverändersblatt with a date of rank a day or two before the death of the man. There is no officer Personalakte for LUIK. His date of death comes from the VDK Website and I believe that I may have also found some information on him in Leo Tammiksaar's documentaion on the Estonian SS division.

, but nice to meet You again. A simple question: Does anybody know where the 2. SS-Panzerjunker-Lehrgang mentioned in the Personalveränderungsblatt took place? I only ask, because my father-in-law is listed there...

This transfer order from 1.10.1944 assigns many of the graduates of the 2.SS-Panzer-Junker-Lehrgang to divisional Panzer regiments.
