Currently the edit function is set to be present for 30 minutes after you post. I can make it longer or shorter as people feel is helpful. What do folks think?

Hello Jason and thanks for the answer!

There is/could be a need sometimes to edit posts long after they were posted. For example, if you post in the form of "lists", for example of Ritterkreuzträger from a certain unit, or the amount of combat vehicles and equipment of units and other members reply with additional information and facts. Then you might want to update the "master list"/original post/reply in a thread instead of having to read through 10-20 replies and do the adding yourself. And instead of having to repeat the original post (list) over and over whenever new facts are presented.

Again, just a thought...

Hello again Jason!

Apparently there are images in posts that no longer shows if the image URL is from another website. Instead of the URL it plainly states "image"... See for example the Karl Kudla reply in viewtopic.php?f=26&t=18581

I would personally like to be able to edit some of my old posts so that relevant images (and new information) could be placed on the right spot, so to speak... A new image of RKT and Feuerwerker Kudla for example. Was there really a major problem before that members wantonly edited their old posts?

I just want to keep my posts in some kind of good order.

With best regards,

But the above mentioned image links are showing now... strange! Well, that's good! Would still be able to edit older threads of mine if/when it's necessary. Anyhow, I like the new look of the Forum Jason. Many functions goes a lot faster now. Good work!

Cheers,

Jason, isn't there supposed to be a link somewhere on the forum's front page to go over to the .com part?

Don't know about anyone else but when I come to the site and use "active topics" tab I get nothing?
Is this just me or perhaps something still being worked out?

Do like the new look though!

That was occuring to me as well and I wasn't sure why. Your post made me look into it more closely and I found the reason and fixed it! Thanks for your comments. When selecting "Active Topics" you should now see topics active over the past xyz time frame. You can select the time frame at the bottom of the page and the default is 7 days with options for 1 day up to 1 year.
