Good to know somebody thinks my music is good I will take care, you too John W. Howard. I was with one of my friends the other night and I slept over, anyway we played Texas holdem and his brother put on some background music. It was great! A mix of Swing, Western Swing/honky tonk and boogie woogie... We had alot of fun
Take care!

("Underneath the lantern by the barrack gate,
Darling I remember the way you used to wait;
'Twas there that you whispered tenderly, that you loved me,
you'd always be, my lilly of the lamplight,
My own...Lili Marlene....")
Glenn Miller and "Moonlight Serenade" the most popular musician and song of WWII? Hardly. Lili Marlene is the winner. Thank you, Germany.

Re: Music and WW2
Not exactly related to the original question, but "Coming in on a wing and a prayer" was very popular, even in the Soviet Union. Here it is, in Russian, performed by the great Leonid Utyosov, the man who introduced big-band music to the Soviet Union. The female vocalist is his wife. http://www.sovmusic.ru/download.php?fname=wingpray
