Hitler 's brilliant military planning

Post by Kelvin »

Hi, Hitler had many military planning in WWII, which one is considered as Hitler most brilliant military planning (remark : on planning itself and not count if work or not )
This planning includes 1940 Ardennes offensive ( you can argue is Manstein plan), 1942 Battle of Kharkov, Panzer counteroffensive at Mortain in August 1944, Ardennes offensive of 1944 and German offensive in Hungary in March 1945.

Anyone have ideas ?

I have often been puzzled by all his associate's thoughts on Hitler's ability to strategize.Where most said after the war that Hitler knew nothing of these areas,Jodl at Nuremburg said his ability was amazing............wonder where the truth lies?

Regarding Ardennes offensive, even Rundstadt thought is amazing ideas and would be sucessful if German could mobilie more troop for this operation. The lack of troop and bad tactics of 6.Panzeramee led to failure of offensive though German already mobilize all she had in the moment. Russian was taken by surprise in the early stage of Fruhlingserwachen and the 6.Panzerarmee equipment status were even more worse than in Ardennes offensive.
