OK - recently recieved information from WaSt on a soldier and I'd appreciate a bit of clarification...

What exactly does this mean:

Truppenteile:
lt. Meldung vom 09.09.1939) 8.Kompanie Panzer Regiment 36
und vom 21.11.1939)

lt. Meldung vom 13.07.1941 Panzer Regiment 35

basically I get it but what does the " lt. Meldung" mean ??

Meldung means report, message, information. In the military meldung means reporting to.

lt. means: Laut
This means "according"
so lt. meldung = according to the report
