There were no Schulen der Flakartillerie in Landau, as far as I know, nor according to Georg Tessin’s Band 16/Teil 2, Verzeichnis der Friedensgarnisonen 1932-1939 und Stationierungen im Kriege 1939-1945, under Luftgau VII where Landau was located.

Your link and image would not connect and display on my computer so I cannot comment on it.

As for the city of LANDAU, I do not understand your question. What do you mean by "function"?

Hello opdd38 and Lorenz!

Bavarian (eventual) Flak schools are not my forte but here's the pic and link...

Danke, Krollspell, but I am still in the dark. That's a nice piece of aluminum or whatever, but what it has to do with a Flakartillerieschule escapes me.

Landau Flak ??

Post by opdd38 »

This piece of aluminum has been found in the site of a battery of Flak
It has been engraved on a shell casing of Leuchtpatronen that serves to give the aerial alert.
therefore I think that it must have a report with this city
what do you think about it ?
thanks

LG -

It is not possible that Feldwebel Penke comes from Landau? Why must it be that he attended a Flakschule in Landau?
