Cornelius R.
Major (German army reserve)
Nov 23th 1968 - Nov 27th 2006

This was one of my best friends and a brother-in-arms.

He suffered from blood cancer since September 2005.

Last Monday he passed away. Now he´s on his last patrol.

May your memories bring you solice & comfort.
The pain of a loved one's passing is a burden we gladly bare, for it shows we lived, we laughed and we loved together.

Regards
You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.

And so as I patrol in the valley of the shadow of the tricolour I must fear evil, For I am but mortal and mortals can only die

M.I., please accept my condolences. It's never easy to lose a brother in arms.

MI

I truly feel your pain. Last month cost me two friends - one a captain who was the essence of the good officer, and one a rascally paratroop who kept us all smiling.

The latter did himself which made it especially painful.

Prayes for your comrade and his family. I'm always grateful to have had good friends if only for a while.

regards

He was young to go but your friend will always be with you. Ask him to save you a good place beside him. I know that this probably seems a bit strange as you read it but when you are alone, think of your friend, as he was, as you knew him, smile, drink some beer, and tell him you will be along to join him one of these days and that he had better keep you a good seat.

It's worked for me...
