is this an original corn flake stamp?
New here, I was told to post here about a stamp I am thinking of buying. it is a operation corn flake stamp. is it an original fake? or a fake of a fake? thanks
there are no stupid questions just stupid people
The design certainly looks right, but the problem is that one needs to look very closely to discern fakes of this type. At first glance, and what one can see from a scan, it looks good, but with using a loup perhaps some things might show up at very close range (laser printing etc.). I haven't seen any modern fakes of this stamp offhand, but everything these days seems to have been faked at one time or other.
Is there a chance of showing it to an expert before you purchase?

Hi :
Just came across this . Hope you did not buy it .
One of the many fakes , ...Manions sells alot of them and others . Perforation count is wrong , ...so an easy one to spot from that piont only !!!
Laser copies are many out there , in many colors and many fake cut and block types !!
As mentioned a direct hands inspection and magnification is needed , ...
and then it is still difficult .
