Italian unit in Jerusalem

Postby genstab » Sat Apr 29, 2006 6:13 am

Gee, I can't remember reading about it; I looked up Jerusalem in the index for all three parts as well as volume 5 but it wasn't mentioned- they dealt with only Sicily (vol. 5) and Italy. It may be in one of the earlier volumes on the African war which I didn't go into as I was lookin for O/B material and had already covered the African war adequately.
Sorry I couldn't be more help on this. Another Forum member may be able to help you out.
Best regards,
Genstab

well, sometimes out of print books are not that expensive, if you get them at second hand bookstores in London. My friend bought his version of "Campaign in Russia" by Leon Degrelle, printed in the 1980s, now rare, for only a few pounds in the London Second Hand bookstores, while on Amazon it might cost like 50 US. There there are also a whole load of books about German military, some even from the 1960s.

ah yea, well 8).... those second hand bookstores are made of people who gave in old books they no longer need, so of course there are some out of print ones.

HvM....you obviously missed the sarcasm. I am quite sure that all book collectors have checked the second hand book stores with in 100km of where they live.......but thanks for the reminder anyways. I am sure it will benefit some of our newer members.
Now if you had mentioned to check out the local auctions that might of been something new.

I would like to let everyone know that the softcover edition of "Death of the Leaping Horseman: 24. Panzer-Division in Stalingrad" has been reprinted. I took delivery of it on 28 June 2006, and it is now available for sale. The best way to order the book is through my website, http://www.leapinghorseman.com

Many thanks to all of you who registered interest because due to the very good response, there was enough interest to warrant a reprint. You should already have received an email from me.
For those of you who have the hardcover, fear not, it will NEVER be reprinted. It will hold its value.
In the meantime, if you've ever wanted to get a copy of this book, now's the time to do it. The previous two print-runs sold out very quickly and I find it difficult to imagine that I will bear the financial risk of a fourth print-run.

Thanks for your time!

Update:

By the way, "Michael Wittmann and the Panzer Commanders of the Leibstandarte" by Patrick Agte are coming out in Stackpole edition in 2 volumnes in September. I wonder though what will happen to the photos... so far in my experience, Stackpole is not a great supplier of photos.

I wonder if you know where one can get "Campaign in Russia" by Leon Degrelle. I am ready to pay 50 USD or slightly more for this book.

Thanks and Regards,

The site is all in German. I didn't see an icon to goto English. Looks like all the books are in German too. Wonder if there are English translations?
