Wargames and simulation

For those interested in some unique wargames available, check out http://www.firefight-games.com

A wargame is an abstraction that simulates the most important aspects of a specific battle in a realistic manner based on historical events and research. Some games say they are wargames, but in reality, are really just strategy games cloaked in some historical aspects. No wargame can really capture a battle as it happened, but it can simulate the key issues that forced a battle to end in the manner it did. Of course, the great attraction is that a player is the "general" and within the rules guidelines, may change history to a certain degree.

True, and the more accurate the order of battle and terrain, the more accurate the simulation.
