Geheime Feldpolzei + German military meteorology

Hi everyone,

My first post and hopefully I have chosen the right forum area for my question. I am researching for a project I am creating which is set on the Eastern Front and involves the Geheime Feldpolzei. I am hoping that someone will be able to provide more information.

There is also a requirement to understand German military meteorology during WW2, Ukrainian railways during WW2 (originating from Germany) and the winter operation of military motorbikes (with any info on the Zundapp KS600s in particular) but I can log separate posts for each of those.

I would greatly appreciate advice on recommended primary and secondary sources. Suggested English language books on the subject or perhaps the contact details of a specialist on the subjects?

Thanks in advance,

James

There are a couple of extensive threads over on the axis history forum concerning the railroads in the East. Lots of good data in them.

Some of the German weather data collection efforts in the Atlantic area are documented on the web and the data from these would have been of some use in predicting weather in the east as well.

Often it's better to start separate threads for each area of interest. It tends to keep the conversations more directed and allows for a more informative title which will often result in faster and better responses.
