I have been looking at the Awesome Website WWIIdaybyday (http://www.wwiidaybyday.com/) where there are a ton of K.St.Ns' depicted in graphics with titles and positions of German soldiers that were in that organization.
Under a number of them are listed titles such as : " Funker (zugl.Melder), 2x Karabiner" as an example.
I under stand Funker (Radio Operator) and I understand Melder (Messenger Runner) as well as 2x Karabiner (2 rifles) but does anyone know what "zugl." stands for?
Is it "in addition" "Additional Assignment"? If someone knows the proper German phrase it is abbreviated from and would be willing to post it that would be really appreciated.
My OCD is going crazy not finding a translation!
