Dear Forum
What would the prewar two-year conscripts do after one year when the new conscripts arrived into the unit?
My question is would the one-yearers keep on training in their present/former unit and the new soldiers be formed into an uneducated formation?
An example: in an infantry-regiment would I.battalion be filled with the one-yearers and II.battalion filled with the newly arrived ones? Or would they be mixed in every squad with half filled by the older yeargroup and the rest with the new men?
I have omitted those new NCO from the one-yearers group. I guess they would command some of the new men.
The question is valid until the war starts.
Yours truly,
Wueggertz
