73.Infanterie-Division

Looking for any info. on 73 ID expecially of the Infantery-Regiment 186 . This regiment was in (Mius JAN 1942 /july 1942) (aug.1942 Kaukasus ) (sept. 1942/dez. 1942 Novorossisk) also what is meant by Zugang: v. Feldersatz-Bataillon 73/2 Thanks in advance Bernhard 37049

I believe the last bit just means that he joined Feldersatz-Btl 73 which would of been a field training unit preparing soldiers who were due to go into the front line.

I appears that my questions are lost.

I would like to know if there is any knowledge of Werner Ziegler committing any war crimes. To my knowledge he was revered by his troops. received the "Eisernes Kreuz mit Eichenlaub und Schwertern" , and served in the Crimea amongst other places, and was later after the war reinstated establishing the Bundeswehr.
