A number of "uberschwere (ss) Fest MG Btl" units fought in Holland in 1944. Does the "(ss)" refer to SS combat units, or "schwere-schwere" (uberschwere ?) ?
thanks,

In this case it means a unit armed with 20mm or 37mm cannons instead of heavy machineguns.
